Starting today La Marguerite will have a biweekly presence at the Huffington Post. This is a great opportunity for all of us here, to share our thoughts with a broader audience. The Huffington Post consistently ranks as the number one blog on Technorati. It also took the bold step of featuring a Green section prominently on its site.
If you want to get notified of La Marguerite‘s posts on Huffington Post, best is to go to today’s post, and click on “Become a Fan” link. After doing so, you will automatically get an email letting you know when a new article gets published. Today’s post is on a topic we have discussed several times before: “Helping Americans with Pocketbook May Succeed Where Green Talk Failed“.
I am also told by the folks at Huffington Post to encourage you to visit and make comments there. Comments bring more comments and readership, and therefore greater chances that my thoughts, and your thoughts will reach the masses.
Last, many thanks to all of you for making the La Marguerite blog what it is, and for advancing our collective state of thinking on the formidable problems facing our whole planet.
Loved the post – yup, being frugal and living simply work well for me too. Congrats!
Great, fantastic, tremendous post ! Bravo !
Me too I am tired of ” green “. I am no green, I am an environmentally concerned citizen that is scared beyond words of the world he may live in in 20 years.
What world will we live in ? I sometimes feel pity for the young kids nowadays as I have a feeling they won’t have it as good as we had it so far… not a great thought by any means…
But enough of these dark thoughts? Where will you stop ? I guess at some place at the very top of the blogosphere or else. Keep up the good work Marguerite !
yours truly.
MamaBird, thanks for the nurturing comment.
Edouard, I feel as you do – a not so subtle anguish about the future ahead for my children, and all the other children in the world. And I am also scared for myself, as well. And mad, that we are not moving faster, individually, collectively, towards solutions.
Bravo to you!!
Good for you. I’ll be reading.
Congrats! Wow. Yes, I’ll have to do the e-mail notification thing.
I don’t know what to say. La Marguerite is moving so quickly that it’s hard to imagine the next step. Personally, I think you should buy The New York Times and give them a talking-to.
Cheers for now,
Jeff
You are all so kind. Thank you so much!
a well deserved compliment for your contribution to Huff green.
you have the class of a motivator and we value your time and preparation.
you do live by your creed, you lead with the necessary humble reserve. thank you.
Wonderful, my chere Marguerite. What goes around comes around. You gave beautiful words of support to so many and advanced the enviro cause – now it’s all coming back to you with great opportunities!
Congratulations Marguerite. Good for Huff Post as well to recognise this need.
Julia
Congratulations! I am so glad for you that the Huff Post recognized your voice, and will give you the forum to reach a broader audience.
Jennifer
I agree – as usual – with Jeff. We don’t know where you will stop Marguerite.
He thinks it will be at the head of the NYT, me I don’t know… the White House ? (as a consultant… because we kind of have an idea for the top position
) or at the US ministry for environment, energy and sustainable development ?
One thing that really puzzles me, where do you find all this time to write/ blog and so on ?
Anyway, keep it up !
Way to go. This is a huge breakthrough. I know you will use this new venue as a means to continue doing well by our environment. Maxltov!
Again thanks to all. Challenge for me will be how to keep my voice in more impersonal environment of HuffPo.
FYI: huffington post is just TABLOID JOURNALISM
