Received today from E2, one of the environmental organizations I belong to:
Congress is now at a critical moment in negotiations over our next Energy Bill, conferencing the House and Senate versions of the bill, each of which has some but not all of the key provisions that we believe must be in the final legislation. As this bill will influence the direction of the nation’s future energy technologies and investments, we are committed to getting it right. It’s critical thatcertain provisions, such as improved CAFÉ standards and strong Renewable Energy Standards, are established in this bill to improve energy efficiency, diminish our dependence on fossil fuels and increase our use of sustainably produced alternative energy sources.
Please review our Energy Bill Letter to Congress, and let us know if we can add your name by clicking:

On November 1, a small delegation of E2 members will present this alert on your behalf in briefings with the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and the House Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming, as well as other Congressional groups. The following day, this letter will be delivered to all Congressional offices on the Hill.
Sometimes, all it takes is one click.
