3650 is the number of days – ten years – before the effect of our CO2 emissions are irreversible. Yes. Only 3650.

On Fear and Action
Action is the only answer to conquer fear. (Dr. Norman Vincent Peale)
But fatalism is just that: fatal. To throw up our hands is to die. (M. Scott Peck)
Some people would rather die than think; and many do. (Bertrand Russell)
Up to now you have done what many people do; as Virgil has it: ‘The mind remains unmoved; the tears pour down in vain.’ (Petrarch)
A man who has committed a mistake and doesn’t correct it, is committing another mistake. (Confucius)
The wise man does at once what the fool does finally. (Machiavelli)
Americans will put up with anything provided it doesn’t block traffic. (Dan Rather)
I’d rather be lucky than good. (Vernon “Lefty” Gomez)
I don’t give enough credit or applause to those geniuse’s who excel in technological animation or whatever this venue is called.
This knocked me out of course. Perhaps it was the use of liturgical harmonies accompanying the mourning of what’s to come for this dear planet. Very emotional with a provocative underlying sadness. This just makes me want to take everyone who thinks the IPCC has nothing better to do with their time than create fictitious rumors about CO2 emissions and the greenhouse effect and shake them into reality.
This was powerful and touched me deeply. Thank you Marguerite, I’d never have discovered this left to my own narrow searches.
Elizabeth Tjader
Oops. In my earlier post, I forgot one:
Planet Earth is blue and there’s nothing I can do. (David Bowie)
Great quotes, Jeff. I also agree about action as way to conquer fear. The question is what action(s)?
Take your protein pills and put your helmet on. (David Bowie)
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind. (Bob Dylan)
